Thumbs Up to Relief
Many people go to a chiropractor because they are in pain. In this first phase of care, the main goal is to reduce your symptoms or to "put out the fire". Most cases this will take one or two visits a week for a couple weeks, and in rare cases, more often.
Most people are under the assumption that if they don't feel any pain that there is nothing wrong with them - that they are healthy. Unfortunately, pain is a very poor indicator of health. A better indicator is function and movement. Your body will always find a way to move and function until dysfunction settles in. Chiropractic is a wonderful preventative for daily aches and pains, increase function and even performance! Suter Et al. found in 1998 and again in 2000 that power output was increased by up to 2% post manipulation.
When you begin chiropractic care, pain is also the first symptom to disappear, even though much of the underlying condition remains. We're here to see how you move, what you do, your environment or any multitude of factors that may be contributing to your condition.
